Autism & PDD Social Skills Lessons

Using this set of five books, younger children with autism can learn the social skills they need to have successful peer interactions.

Each social skill is taught through a one-page lesson. Extra pictures are provided in the index to allow customisation of stories to make them meaningful for individual users.

• Five topic areas are covered: School, Community, Home, Behaviour, Getting Along.
• Two types of lessons are included: instructional (eg, how to use a tissue appropriately), and behavioural (eg, pushing others).
• Many social skill areas are addressed including: using a quiet voice, getting a check-up, table social skills, school behaviour, hurting self or others, going on a field trip.
• Includes tracking charts to help plan therapy and monitor progress.
• Ages: 3-8 years
