Conversation & Questions

Communication & Conversation Skills

Help children to develop effective receptive and expressive language skills. These resources target different aspects of conversational language skills such as sentence repetition, inferencing, describing, answering questions, following directions, categorising, all essential fundamental social skills. Underpinning these is a need to concentrate, stay on topic and develop non-verbal expressive skills, so resources in the Social and Wellbeing Section that explore expressing feelings may be useful.

You will find here cards, games and activities for starting conversations, asking questions, formulating answers, using auditory processing skills, developing descriptions, word finding, categorising, staying on-topic, concentration etc.
